What was the recent bane of my existence? | #booktube #dinner

Meatloaf

Meatloaf IS the bane of my existence or at least it was last night when it interfered in what my plans were for the night. I was not enjoying it ....

Here is my apology and explanation ...
You should check out India's Wednesday Wine Down 5.1 (the one I was suppose to join but the meatloaf stopped me) ...

Here is a photo of the turkey meatloaf that turned out well but still ruined my day because of how long it had to cook. The recipe said it would take about 50-55 minutes to bake but instead it took 90-ish minutes to bake at 425 degrees for the first 50-ish minutes and 400 degrees for the last 30-ish minutes.

However, I will completely admit the timing might not be (completely) the recipes fault as I did alter the recipe I got from food.com a bit.

Recipe/Ingredients Changes :
  • Temperature oven changes that I listed above
    • The recipe said it would take about 50-55 minutes to bake but instead it took 90-ish minutes to bake at 425 degrees for the first 50-ish minutes and 400 degrees for the last 30-ish minutes.
  • No Onions
  • 5 Minced Garlic Cloves instead of 3

My Family's Verdict : No one (but myself) complained ... especially once they topped it with some gravy. And again I only complained because of the time it took to make/bake it all.
